Steamboat Conference, “Empowering Young People to Overcome Adversity and Be Successful in Life”

February 19 & 20, 2009

Citizen’s Hall, Steamboat Springs, CO

This is OCR’s Annual Conference held at Citizen’s Hall in Downtown Steamboat Springs.  Join us for our two-day conference in one of Colorado’s most beautiful mountain towns as we cover pressing issues confronting GALs.  The theme for our conference is “Empowering Young People to Overcome Adversity and Be Successful in Life,” with Father Greg Boyle from Homeboy Industries as the keynote speaker.  The cost is a $75 donation to either CASA, NACC, or Bridging the Gap (taken at the door) and in return you get a projected 14 CLE credits, great networking opportunities and a taste of the Rocky Mountains!  Registration is open, but agenda topics and specific details won’t be available until further notice.

For lodging, the OCR has reserved rooms at the Hampton Inn & Suites for a discounted rate of $139/night plus tax.  To make reservations, call (970) 871-8900 and let them know you are with the Office of the Child’s Representative.
